Kevin Oates is the Executive Director & Founder of MYRO (Maine Youth Rock Orchestra), aimed at providing orchestral students educational opportunities to perform with professional touring artists. Kevin has been engulfed in music since first picking up a cello at the age of four. After college, Kevin embarked on a teaching career and for eight years he worked as an orchestra instructor within the Maine Public School System. A TEDx Speaker, Kevin followed his passional of running his own non-profit agency and remains committed to the art of music and revolutionizing music education.
