Welcome to Episode 64 of American Real. Our guest this week is Neurosurgeon, Dr. Khalid Sethi. Originally from Pakistan, the doctor came to the US to attend University, without any plans of becoming a physician. As an undergraduate, he studied Chemical Engineering and Thermo Dynamics before becoming interested in medicine. In our discussion, the doctor explains the incredible advancements in neurosurgery—a medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis or surgical treatment, which can affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal chord or peripheral nerves.

In addition, Dr. Sethi goes deep into philosophy, discussing the wisdom he gained over the years. I learned a tremendous amount by listening to him and I walked away feeling I have a better skillset and greater appreciation for investing in myself and my core relationships. Dr. Sethi said, “Whatever you do, give it 110% and don’t do it because you’re expecting something in return.” He added, "Invest in yourself.
