I was first introduced to Elliott Hulse through his appearance on London Real, and I’ve followed his journey the past few years and his mission to make men strong again. Elliott is an advocate for the Alfa male, often describing how our society is faced with a masculinity crisis. He I go deep in this hour and a half long conversation and where his strong personalty shines through as we cover his four F’s: fasting, fitness, fatherhood and faith. We also discuss his opinion on the media, Hollywood and even his position on the white male.

Daniel describes his technique of using ordinary places to uncover beauty in unexpected locations. He is in the midst of producing his first independent feature film, Stationed at Home, and discusses all that goes into it. A true storyteller, Daniel provides an inside view of the film's storyline and the essence of the main characters; what it’s like to meet a stranger, getting to know that stranger and then going on an adventure with them finding magic in the moment—ultimately realizing they’ve been home the entire time. We discuss the importance of why he chose Binghamton as the area to make the film, the feeling of yearning it has, and how all of the actors in the film are Meisner trained with its "in the moment" technique.

DAN KOSICK | WORLD PREMIERE EPISODE | I TRAIN SO I CAN

Welcome to our 92nd episode of American Real, where this week we bring you a truly inspirational story. Our guest is Dan Kosick, who at the age of fifteen was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his right leg. After consulting with the best doctors in the world at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, they recommended Dan have his leg amputated above the knee, due to the aggressive type of cancer. Because of the positive support of his parents and family, as well as his own positive attitude, Dan overcame his obstacle, accepting his new way of life. He went on to compete in high school sports and also learned to adjust and then excel in downhill skiing. Dan was so good, he was invited to the Paralympic Games training camp where he earned a spot on the US Adaptive Ski Team. Dan appeared in the 1998 Winter Paralympics in Nagano, Japan and the 2002 Winter Paralympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today, Dan continues to challenge himself, participating in Spartan and Mudder events. He is a brand ambassador for Merrell, an American Footwear company.

What I like most about Dan is the combination of his toughness and humility. He is a family man through-and-through, expressing that’s where he receives the most joy in life.
