This week on American Real, we bring you a story of a dark underground reality on a subject not often discussed... human trafficking, which exists right here in our country. Salka Valerio is our featured guest and her story begins in an abusive household where at the young age of thirteen she attempted to take her own life by way of suicide. A year later, Salka ran away from home before ending up in the hands of human traffickers. Her living nightmare continued for five years, taking her from one trafficker to another who all instilled fear and preyed on her vulnerability forcing her into prostitution. I can only give praise to Salka who went through so much, yet had the courage and determination to find a way to escape before starting her life anew. Today, she works in law enforcement helping those in need and working to eliminate human trafficking.

This week on American Real, we bring you our very first episode from our new studio and welcome Ayana Del Valle, a gifted and soulful singer who gives us an intense view into her story of a wonderful upbringing in her musically inclined family. Her mother, a dancer and father a vocalist/musician, Ayana was heavily influenced by her parents, as well as the likes of Ella Fitzgerald. After losing both of her parents in her 20’s and within a short time span, Ayana got caught up in turmoil, until she was able to pull herself out, in what she attributes to her relationship with God. This is an episode that will keep you glued from start to finish, so sit back relax as I welcome the very talented Ayana Del Valle.

From Jerry Seinfeld, Amy Schumer, Dave Chappelle and Lewis Black, the Gotham is a New York City favorite for laughter.
Chis discusses the relationships he built over the years with some of the most famous comedians in history like the late David Brenner and Robin Williams, as well as having a small part in supporting more recent up-and-coming success stars, like Sebastian Maniscalco.

This week on American Real, we bring you Penelope Shihab; Scientist, Entrepreneur and CEO.
Born in Bethlehem on Christmas Day, her story is one of perseverance and inspiration, beating the odds as a woman who grew up in Palestine, where she experienced war, before escaping it, to get an education in the UK, eventually moving to the country of Jordan.
Penelope Shihab is a dreamer, a risk taker and an innovator.
With a PHd in Biotechnology, the doctor changed course in her research with her discovery of the properties contained in camel’s milk. This led to years of research and eventual patents of her products in the UK and US.
Finally, you’ll see how small the world really is when she tells the story of how a woman from Cloughhjordan, Ireland connect her and I, which led to her appearance on American Real.
