MonaLisa Coburn is the author of the bestselling book, "Downloads from One Consciousness: A Personal Journey to Enlightenment." She's spent her whole life doing the thing she loves, writing stories. On this episode of American Real, Roger asks David about his quote on cancel culture and the prevalent woke movement among younger generations, and how important it is to him. "Words have no power, it's how you use them," David says. "Over the course of the last 3 to 4 years, woke has become a form of censorship, almost. The college circuit, which used to be the primary bread and butter for comedians, you can't be booked on the college circuit anymore unless you're very careful with the words you use."

Emma feels that "A lot of times, people, when they talk to you, and I've noticed this for years, people say, 'do you know what I mean?' Because people want to know you understand what they mean, because they ultimately feel alone in the world and they want someone to understand them at the level that they're feeling. So that's very important. When you become vulnerable, you're actually connecting with other people that know what you mean."

Alex Griffin an innovative award-winning young filmmaker, director, writer, actor, and multimedia entertainer who specializes in media that defies imagination. Alex trained in Manhattan under the guidance of Broadway performers and industry professionals, and Alex made his off-Broadway debut in New York City in 2015, at the age of only 15. Alex then went a step further and directed his very first stage production in the summer of 2021. Alex graduated from SUNY Oswego in the Spring of 2022 in the College Honors Program, but Alex's cinematic work already preceded that milestone as his films had previously garnered multiple awards both nationally and internationally for creativity and technical skill. On this episode of American Real, Roger asks Alex, who is autistic, to share his story. Alex explains that "being on the Autism Spectrum, it's both a blessing and a curse. I just process things very, very differently than other people. I would love to be both seen as equal, but I'd love others to understand my limitations as compared to other people with my ways of processing things or understanding things. Ask them what they need, figure out what sort of communication style that you need to adopt to be able to work with them, and they will work with you."

Mike believes that "the silver lining is, home values continue to remain okay. What determines the value of a home? It will never change. It's always jobs -- and there's plenty of jobs out there -- and supply and demand. In my neck of the woods, they're not making any more land, and so the homes tend to hold their value or continue to increase, even if it's at a moderate pace."
